A poster series produced during a year as Head of Design — institutional voice across academic, cultural, and commemorative briefs.
A year at the Kurdistan Studies Institute as Head of Design. The poster series is the most legible part of that role — every event, lecture, exhibition, and commemoration the institute ran needed a poster, and the posters had to read consistently as a single institutional voice without flattening the differences between an academic conference and a memorial.
What I built was less a set of posters than a system for making posters at the institute's tempo — a small library of grid decisions, type choices, and image rules that a smaller team could keep using after I left. The work below is a sample of what came out of that system.
